Fever and pain on right hip after placement of a biliary stent

ABSTRACT

A 79-year-old woman, who had a history of metastatic colorectal cancer, was admitted at the hospital due to malignant obstructive jaundice. It was performed endoscopic drainage and a biliary plastic stent was placed. She presented fever and pain located on right hypochondria and hip. A computed tomography showed a duodenal perforation with a psoas abscess associated.



RESUMEN

Paciente de 79 años, con historia de cáncer de colon metastásico, que ingresó por ictericia obstructiva de causa tumoral. Se realizó drenaje endoscópico con colocación de próstesis biliar plástica. Precisó reingreso por fiebre y dolor en hipocondrio derecho y cadera ipsilateral, con hallazgo en pruebas de imagen (TC) de perforación duodenal con absceso de psoas secundario.
